The Crisis Response team is expanding its operations to Oromia Region, Ethiopia, in partnership with Pastoralist Concern (PC), addressing the critical needs of conflict-affected communities.
Job Summary
The Field Coordinator oversees the planning, execution, and management of multi-sector humanitarian programs in Eastern Borena. This role ensures project objectives are met efficiently while maintaining financial, administrative, and logistical compliance with FHI 360 policies. The Field Coordinator manages staff, coordinates stakeholders, and implements evidence-based interventions across health, nutrition, WASH, and protection sectors.
Key Responsibilities

Lead project development and oversee execution from initiation to completion.

Manage daily project operations, logistics, finances, and administrative tasks.

Guide and mentor project staff, ensuring clarity of plans and effective teamwork.

Develop work plans, budgets, training materials, and reports for management.

Monitor project performance and implement corrective actions as needed.

Build and maintain partnerships essential to project success.

Ensure compliance with Core Humanitarian Standards (CHS), Sphere standards, and NGO codes of conduct.
Qualifications & Skills

Bachelor’s degree in International Development, Social Sciences, Business Management, or related field (Master’s preferred).

5–8 years of programmatic experience, including USAID/BHA rules and regulations.

Strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

Fluent in English; local language fluency is a plus.

Proven ability to manage multi-sector projects and remote field teams.
Work Environment & Travel

Ability to work long hours and travel to remote field sites with limited amenities.

Physical demands: lift 5–50 lbs, extended sitting/standing.

Travel requirement: up to 50% within Ethiopia.
