Role & Responsibilities

  • Record day-to-day financial transactions and complete the posting process in accounting systems
  • Verify that transactions are recorded accurately in the general ledger
  • Maintain and reconcile petty cash accounts
  • Prepare simple financial reports as requested by the General Manager / CEO
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes
  • Maintain orderly financial filing systems (physical and digital)
  • Support processing of accounts payable and receivable
  • Assist with preparation of tax filings and regulatory financial submissions
  • Liaise with banks and external vendors for payment processing and documentation
  • Perform other finance and administrative tasks as assigned by the General Manager / CEO

Skills & Qualifications

Must-Have

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or finance administration
  • Strong working knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks) and Microsoft Excel
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organisational skills
  • Fluency in both English and Amharic, written and spoken

Preferred

  • Experience supporting C-level executives in manufacturing or FMCG environments.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing or production environment
  • Knowledge of Ethiopian tax laws and compliance requirements
  • Additional training or certification in accounting or bookkeeping
