Food for the Hungry Ethiopia (FHE) is a faith‑based international NGO committed to ending poverty and hunger through sustainable development programs. FHE implements the Resilience Food Security Activity (RFSA) in Ethiopia, focusing on food security, livelihoods, compliance, and humanitarian support.
Open Positions
1. Senior Grant Management, Risk and Compliance Manager
- Responsibilities: Strengthen internal control systems, oversee donor grant compliance, manage budgets and cash flow, resolve audit findings, and enhance risk management practices.
- Qualifications: BA in Accounting or related field; 8+ years’ experience in grants and compliance management; RFSA experience preferred.
2. Environmental Compliance Lead
- Responsibilities: Coordinate environmental, NRM, and DRR activities; ensure compliance with DOS safeguards; integrate climate adaptation into RFSA interventions; build staff and partner capacity; network with government and research institutions.
- Qualifications: MSc in Environmental Science or related field; technical training in EIA, climate change, biodiversity conservation; 8+ years’ experience in sustainability and capacity building; RFSA experience preferred.
3. Cash/Commodity Management Coordinator
- Responsibilities: Plan and manage food aid resources; oversee importation, procurement, transportation, and warehouse operations; ensure compliance with donor standards; conduct pipeline analysis and reporting.
- Qualifications: BA in Accounting or related field; 6+ years’ relevant experience in NGO settings; RFSA experience preferred.
4. Cash/Commodity Management & Compliance Manager
- Responsibilities: Strengthen commodity internal control systems; manage audits and compliance assessments; build staff capacity in commodity handling; oversee shipping documentation, food delivery, and inventory controls.
- Qualifications: BA in Accounting or related field; 8+ years’ relevant experience in NGO settings; RFSA experience preferred.
5. Senior Food Security & Livelihood Advisor – RFSA
- Responsibilities: Lead livelihood, agriculture, and market‑based interventions; promote agricultural extension models, value chains, and nutrition‑sensitive agriculture; provide technical backstopping; build staff capacity; monitor and evaluate program outcomes; network with ARARI, NGOs, and private sector actors.
- Qualifications: BSc in Agriculture, Natural Resource Management, Rural Development, or related field (Master’s preferred); 8+ years’ relevant experience in NGO settings; RFSA experience preferred.
