About the Job – Junior Site Engineer

Ethiopian Engineering Corporation is seeking bright and talented Junior Site Engineers to support on-site engineering activities across different departments. This is an excellent opportunity for fresh civil engineering graduates to start their careers in construction management, project engineering, and site supervision.

As a Junior Site Engineer, you will ensure that all installation, statutory, and consultant approvals are applied on-site, and that contract specifications are adhered to per the company’s QA/QC policies. You will also support material management, team coordination, and project documentation.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with contract specifications and project guidelines during all project phases.
• Issue material submittals according to consultant requirements and maintain an up-to-date register.
• Ensure all method statements, risk assessments, and HSE/QA-QC procedures are properly documented.
• Assist in procurement and long-lead item scheduling, track deliveries, and report any delays affecting project timelines.
• Control dissemination of contractual documents (drawings, specifications) to relevant site team members.
• Forward any changes in scope of work to the Commercial Team immediately.
• Manage drawing control and as-built documentation, ensuring weekly updates are recorded.
• Maintain QA/QC standards, check installations, and issue inspection documentation.
• Perform material take-offs, verify compliance, and coordinate with senior engineers.
• Record and report project team efficiencies, delays, and constraints weekly to senior management.
• Understand testing & commissioning, spares, warranty, and defect liability periods during project closeout.

About You – Qualifications & Skills

Educational Qualification:

• BSc in Civil Engineering / COTM
• CGPA 3.0 and above
• Must have passed the Exit Exam
• Year of Graduation: 2024 or 2025 only

Work Experience:

• Fresh graduates with zero years of experience
• Bright, motivated candidates with a strong passion for civil engineering and construction projects
• Open to working across different departments

Skills:

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to use MS Office
• Willingness to learn and adapt
• Team player with a proactive attitude
