Available Job Positions
1. Livelihoods & Food Security Officer
- Employment Type: Full-time
- Duty Station: Dabat, North Amhara, Ethiopia
- Reports to: Livelihoods and Food Security Project Coordinator
- Duration: February 20, 2025 – August 20, 2025
Key Responsibilities / Job Duties
- Monitor and report on project activities to ensure compliance with NRC standards
- Support income-generating and livelihoods interventions for refugees, IDPs, returnees, and host communities
- Conduct beneficiary selection, registration, and validation; assist in in-kind and cash distributions
- Provide technical advice and training on livelihoods and food security activities
- Liaise with woreda offices, partners, and stakeholders to ensure coordination and synergy of projects
- Ensure equal participation across gender, age, disability, and clan groups
- Collect and manage data; prepare reports and maintain proper filing of documents
- Support the preparation and implementation of annual and quarterly work plans
- Represent NRC in stakeholder meetings and community forums
- Ensure financial accountability and compliance with NRC procedures for project expenditures
Qualifications & Experience
- BSc degree in Agricultural Economics, Rural Development, or related agricultural field
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a project officer in humanitarian or recovery contexts
- Experience working in complex, volatile, or emergency environments
- Demonstrated results in livelihoods and food security project management
- Proficient in English
