Available Job Positions

1. Livelihoods & Food Security Officer

• Employment Type: Full-time
• Duty Station: Dabat, North Amhara, Ethiopia
• Reports to: Livelihoods and Food Security Project Coordinator
• Duration: February 20, 2025 – August 20, 2025

Key Responsibilities / Job Duties

• Monitor and report on project activities to ensure compliance with NRC standards
• Support income-generating and livelihoods interventions for refugees, IDPs, returnees, and host communities
• Conduct beneficiary selection, registration, and validation; assist in in-kind and cash distributions
• Provide technical advice and training on livelihoods and food security activities
• Liaise with woreda offices, partners, and stakeholders to ensure coordination and synergy of projects
• Ensure equal participation across gender, age, disability, and clan groups
• Collect and manage data; prepare reports and maintain proper filing of documents
• Support the preparation and implementation of annual and quarterly work plans
• Represent NRC in stakeholder meetings and community forums
• Ensure financial accountability and compliance with NRC procedures for project expenditures

Qualifications & Experience

• BSc degree in Agricultural Economics, Rural Development, or related agricultural field
• Minimum 3 years of experience as a project officer in humanitarian or recovery contexts
• Experience working in complex, volatile, or emergency environments
• Demonstrated results in livelihoods and food security project management
• Proficient in English
