Position Summary – Lobby Ambassador

As a Lobby Ambassador at Marriott Hotels Addis Ababa, you will be the first point of contact for guests, ensuring a warm welcome and seamless service experience. You will actively engage guests, assist with requests, and provide information about hotel amenities and local attractions to enhance their stay.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome and engage hotel guests in the lobby area to create a positive service experience.
• Assist guests with requests such as transportation, reservations, and dry cleaning by coordinating with the appropriate providers.
• Provide local knowledge on attractions, events, and nearby services to inform guests.
• Coordinate with hotel departments (Front Desk, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, etc.) to fulfill guest needs.
• Ensure professional appearance, follow safety policies, and maintain confidentiality of guest and company information.
• Anticipate and respond to guest needs, including providing assistance to individuals with disabilities.
• Answer phones using professional etiquette and handle written communications accurately.
• Support teamwork, maintain quality standards, and comply with company service expectations.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by management.

Preferred Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• Experience: Minimum of 1 year of related customer service or hospitality experience.
• Supervisory Experience: Not required.
• License/Certification: None required.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods.
• Comfortable with lifting or moving up to 10 pounds without assistance.
