AST Job Vacancy 2026: Marketing Officer – Addis Ababa

AST is seeking a motivated Marketing Officer to promote software products, identify new business opportunities, and support sales and business development activities in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

The successful candidate will be responsible for reaching potential customers, explaining software solutions, conducting market research, supporting digital marketing campaigns, and building strong client relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct cold calls and market software products to targeted businesses.
  • Develop marketing strategies and participate in digital marketing campaigns.
  • Prepare marketing scripts, promotional materials, presentations, and tender documents.
  • Demonstrate software products, explain their features, and train clients on their use.
  • Respond to client calls, inquiries, and requests, and follow up with prospective customers.
  • Conduct market research to identify potential customers and new business opportunities.
  • Build and maintain client relationships to support sales growth and business development.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Educational background in marketing, sales, business, or a related field.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to learn software products and explain their features clearly to customers.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • A results-oriented attitude and ability to engage with prospective clients.
  • Experience in IT or software marketing is an advantage.

Salary and Benefits

  • Gross Monthly Salary: ETB 14,000–15,000
  • Sales Commission: 5% on successful sales
