Position: Regional English Connects Lead, SSA

Requirements of the role:

  • English language teaching qualification
  • Experience of managing teacher development projects, both face-to-face and online
  • Experience of overseeing digital communities of practice or learning networks
  • Understanding of ELT in education policy, current trends and research internationally – particularly digitally
  • Experience of grant or contract management

Department: English and School Education

Contract type: 24 months Fixed Term Contract
Pay band: 8

Salary: £38,820 plus London based allowance of £3,300 if London based

Location: Ethiopia, Ghana, Nigeria, Rwanda, South Africa, Uganda and UK (Cardiff, Edinburgh, Belfast and London

Requirements:

Mobility / relocation / visa sponsoring support will not be provided. 

 British Council supports working in new ways such as hybrid working, subject to full approval by line management and conditional upon our ability to provide the appropriate level of service.  This may not be appropriate for all roles but can be explored at interview.
