Job Overview

  • Research and Analysis Intern: Focus on diversity, equity, and inclusion projects, supporting outreach and recruitment strategies.

Both internships are based in Addis Ababa and provide exposure to international development work within the UN system.


Key Responsibilities

Research and Analysis Intern

  • Support the design and implementation of inclusive recruitment strategies.
  • Conduct research on diversity and equity in workforce development.
  • Assist in preparing reports and outreach materials.
  • Collaborate with teams to strengthen ECA’s inclusion agenda.

Economic Affairs Intern (Temporary)

  • Conduct economic research and analysis on assigned topics.
  • Assist in drafting reports, presentations, and policy briefs.
  • Support data collection and interpretation for economic projects.

Required Qualifications & Skills

Education

  • Currently enrolled in, or completed, a graduate-level program (Master’s or Ph.D.), OR
  • Final-year undergraduate student (Bachelor’s degree or equivalent).

Work Experience

  • No prior professional experience required.
  • Academic background must be relevant to the internship area.

Technical Skills

  • Computer literacy in standard software applications.
  • Ability to prepare clear and concise reports.

Soft Skills

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Respect for diversity and ability to work in multicultural environments.
  • Openness to differing opinions and perspectives.

Salary & Benefits
