Job Summary

The Team Leader Fleet will be responsible for supervising the fleet team and managing vehicle maintenance at the Dire Dawa Plant, reporting directly to the Depot Manager.


Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure maintenance quality and standard time requirements are met.
  • Implement EABSC systems such as TCCQS and EXIM.
  • Inspect and address fleet image problems.
  • Apply cost-minimizing maintenance systems.
  • Maintain fleet image standards.
  • Complete weekly inspection lists and daily maintenance records.
  • Report mechanic checklists and keep updated on new fleet technologies.
  • Maintain a clean working environment and protective clothing.
  • Fill activity logs and take responsibility for leading the shift in the absence of the team leader.
  • Keep records of maintenance activities, observations, and discrepancies.
  • Perform minor welding and electrical maintenance.
  • Manage spare parts inventory (fast-moving and slow-moving).
  • Provide feedback on technical and image-related issues.
  • Perform other duties assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Education: First Degree in Mechanical, Automotive, or Industrial Engineering (or related fields).
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years relevant experience, including at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
  • Hands-on experience in vehicle maintenance management.
  • Proven ability to manage employees effectively.
  • Strong ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
