📝 Job Summary

GGGI seeks Translation and Evaluation Interns to support its green growth initiatives in rural Ethiopia. This role involves translating key project documents, supporting field evaluation tasks, and assisting with bilingual communication for stakeholder engagement.

🎯 Responsibilities

• Translate reports, training materials, and communication content (English ⇄ Afaan Oromoo or Sidaamu Afoo)
• Provide interpretation during meetings, workshops, and field activities
• Support the development of bilingual awareness materials for local communities
• Evaluate small business plans and score them using provided evaluation templates
• Organize and archive translations and evaluation reports
• Assist project staff with related administrative and fieldwork tasks

✅ Qualifications

• Master’s or PhD student (or recent graduate within 12 months) in Languages, Business, Communication, Development Studies, or related fields
• Strong proficiency in English and fluency in Afaan Oromoo or Sidaamu Afoo
• Prior experience or academic background in translation and interpretation
• Familiarity with small business plan development is an advantage
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and time-management skills
