To gain public trust at its initial stage, Tsehay Insurance commenced operation with a subscribed capital of Birr 45 million and a paid-up capital of Birr 11.48 million, which was well above the minimum capital requirement of Birr 3 million. Initially, the company started with three branches in Addis Ababa and has since expanded its insurance services.
