Position: Intern – Addis Ababa
Qualifications:
- Enrolled in or completed a graduate program (Master’s or higher) OR final year of a Bachelor’s program
- Degree in Law or Human Rights preferred
- No prior work experience required
Languages:
- Fluency in English and Amharic required
- Knowledge of other Ethiopian languages is an asset
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze human rights developments and trends in Ethiopia
- Research and draft reports, notes, and briefing materials
- Support organization of human rights trainings, workshops, and events
- Assist stakeholder engagement with UN human rights mechanisms
- Participate in meetings/conferences and prepare notes
- Provide support in integrating human rights perspectives into national policies
- Document and share best practices and lessons learned
