Position Overview

The WASH Assistant HP will support the implementation, monitoring, and reporting of WASH and public health interventions under FHI 360 projects. Reporting to the WASH Officer, the role ensures programs adhere to international and national technical standards and effectively address sanitation and environmental health needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Support WASH Officer in achieving project targets.
• Assist monitoring and evaluation officers in data collection, including baseline and rapid assessments.
• Represent FHI 360 at community level and liaise with local stakeholders.
• Monitor indicators and provide field progress reports.
• Collaborate with health facilities and communities for data collection.
• Ensure compliance with program standards and implement corrective actions.
• Perform other tasks assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Education & Experience: 2–3 years national experience in NGO or humanitarian projects, particularly in WASH, primary health care, or nutrition.
• Hands-on experience in designing, implementing, and managing WASH programs.
• Ability to conduct rapid needs assessments and baseline surveys.
• Knowledge of UN Cluster System and international/national minimum standards.
• Fluent in local languages and proficient in English.
• Willingness to travel frequently to operational locations.
