About Ethiopian Insurance Corporation (EIC)

Ethiopian Insurance Corporation (EIC) is Ethiopia’s largest insurance company, founded in 1976 under Proclamation No. 68/1975, merging thirteen nationalized private insurance firms. Reconstituted as a public enterprise in 1994 (Proclamation No. 201/94), EIC provides comprehensive insurance services nationwide. Currently, EIC is modernizing its systems and workflows to enhance customer service, claims processing, and insurance operations.

About the Young Professionals (Pre-Service) Program

The EIC Young Professionals Program 2025 targets high-achieving graduates in Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, and related fields. This graduate development program prepares young professionals for careers in insurance, risk management, finance, underwriting, and digital operations.

Over six months, participants will:

• Receive hands-on training in insurance operations, including underwriting, claims management, finance, and risk management.
• Participate in classroom and practical learning to develop soft skills, professional competencies, and mentorship from senior EIC staff.
• Rotate through multiple departments to gain a comprehensive understanding of insurance company operations.
• Be assigned to a department that matches their strengths and aligns with EIC’s strategic goals upon successful completion.

Place of Work: All over Ethiopia

Candidate Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or related fields
• Graduation Year: 2025 (2017 E.C.)
• Minimum GPA: 3.2
