Adama Science and Technology University, one of Ethiopia’s two dedicated Science and Technology universities, was first established in 1993 as Nazareth Technical College. ASTU is now seeking qualified research staff for its five Centers of Excellence (CoEs).

Important Recruitment Information

• International Training: Recruited candidates will receive capacity-building training abroad and must serve their respective CoEs afterward.
• MSc Degree Positions:
  • BSc CGPA: Minimum 3.25 (male), 3.00 (female)
  • MSc CGPA: Minimum 3.5 (all)
  • Thesis result: At least Very Good (B+)
• Academic & Research Assistant:
  • BSc CGPA: 3.25 (male), 3.00 (female)
• Senior Academic & Research Assistant:
  • 4 years’ experience as Academic/Research Assistant (Technical Assistant)
  • Must have action research experience
• Chief Academic & Research Assistant:
  • MSc degree + 2 years as Senior Academic & Research Assistant
  • 1 laboratory manual + at least 1 publication in a reputable journal required
• Selection Priority: Candidates with research/professional experience aligned to CoE research themes will be prioritized. If two candidates meet all requirements, preference will be given to the higher-ranked candidate.
