AddisPay Financial Technology S.C. is hiring a Sales Representative – Merchant Onboarding to join its Sales & Business Development team in Addis Ababa. The role focuses on identifying prospective merchants, promoting digital payment solutions, acquiring and onboarding new merchants, and maintaining strong merchant relationships.

Job Requirements

Applicants should have:

  • A Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Marketing, Sales, Business Management, Economics, Accounting & Finance, or a related field.

Key Responsibilities

The Sales Representative will be responsible for:

  • Identifying and visiting potential merchants, businesses, shops, and service providers.
  • Promoting and explaining AddisPay products and digital payment solutions to prospective merchants.
  • Acquiring and onboarding new merchants according to company procedures and requirements.
  • Explaining product features, benefits, pricing, transaction processes, and applicable terms to merchants.
  • Collecting and verifying required merchant registration and KYC documents.
  • Assisting merchants with account registration, activation, and initial product usage.
  • Following up with newly onboarded merchants to support successful activation and regular usage.
  • Building and maintaining positive relationships with merchants.
  • Achieving assigned daily, weekly, and monthly merchant acquisition targets.
