The organization works to combat poverty, inequality, and social exclusion through humanitarian and development programs. In Ethiopia, Ayuda en Acción has been active since 2002, implementing impactful projects in Afar, Oromia, and South Ethiopia.

Position: Operations Assistant Intern
The Operations Assistant Internship provides hands‑on experience across finance, logistics, HR, and administration. Interns support day‑to‑day operations, documentation, coordination, and compliance processes while gaining practical skills in NGO operations.
Key Responsibilities
Finance & Accounting Support
- Prepare and process vouchers and journal entries.
- Validate, scan, archive, and maintain financial documents.
- Support payments, petty cash, per diems, bank letters, and CPOs.
- Assist with reconciliations, reporting, and audit preparation.
- Verify accuracy and authorization of financial data.
- Reconcile cash balances and support banking tasks.
- Ensure proper documentation of taxes and pension contributions.
Logistics Support
- Assist with logistics for meetings, workshops, travel, and events.
- Track office supplies, assets, and equipment.
- Support storekeeping and inventory management.
- Assist procurement documentation and follow‑ups.
- Record purchases (GRNs) and issue store vouchers (SIVs).
- Support staff movement and field activity logistics.
HR Support
- Assist with recruitment logistics and candidate communication.
- Maintain and update staff files and HR records.
- Support onboarding and orientation of new staff.
- Assist with staff training and welfare activities.
- Handle confidential HR information with integrity.
Administrative Support
- Provide clerical support: photocopying, scanning, organizing files.
- Maintain filing systems for correspondence and reports.
- Support daily office operations and cross‑department coordination.
- Perform additional tasks assigned by supervisors.
Requirements
Education
- BA Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Management, HR, or related fields.
Experience

Zero years (Fresh graduates encouraged).
Skills & Competencies
- Good written and spoken English.
- Basic MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strong organizational and communication abilities.
- Ability to multitask and work in a team.
- High integrity, confidentiality, and accuracy.
