Position 1: Legal Officer

• Employment Type: Full‑time
• Job Location: Dire Dawa, Ethiopia

Responsibilities:

• Draft loan, pledge, mortgage, and related contracts
• Verify legality of borrowers
• Review contracts for completeness and provide approval
• Confirm registration of mortgage contracts and collateral insurance policies
• Safeguard security documents with authorized staff
• Facilitate proper filing and organization of loan documents

Required Qualifications & Skills:

• Education: LLM or LLB Degree in Law
• Work Experience: Minimum of 4–6 years relevant legal experience, including at least 3 years in the banking sector
• Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of contract preparation, mortgage registration, and collateral documentation
• Soft Skills: Attention to detail, organizational ability, and professional integrity
