Job Description

The Junior Customer Service Officer will support branch customer service and banking operations, including account opening, transaction processing, documentation, reconciliation, customer support, and promotion of banking products and digital services.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle account opening and maintain customer registers.
• Manage customer document custody.
• Process counter transactions and cheque deposits.
• Handle returned cheques.
• Assist Senior Customer Service Officers with back-office operations.
• Support daily reconciliations involving ATM, POS, merchant, and branch books.
• Assist with clearing suspense accounts.
• Promote the Bank’s products, services, and alternative digital channels.
• Support deposit mobilization and customer acquisition activities.
• Recruit new clients and develop relationships with merchants and agents.
• Respond to customer inquiries while maintaining service quality and confidentiality.
• Perform assigned responsibilities in accordance with applicable banking requirements and NBE standards.

Required Qualifications and Experience

Applicants should meet the following requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree (first degree) in:
  • Accounting
  • Management
  • Finance
  • Economics
  • Banking & Finance
  • A related field
• No prior work experience required.
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.

Additional Qualifications

Professional certificates or knowledge in the following areas are an added advantage:

• Computer applications
• Management Information Systems (MIS)
• IT fundamentals
