The positions are responsible for implementing health, safety, and environmental procedures, conducting workplace inspections and risk assessments, investigating incidents, and supporting safety compliance at the project site.
Job Summary
The HSE Engineer / Safety Officer will implement and monitor Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies and procedures at the project site. The role involves hazard identification, risk assessment, safety inspections, employee and contractor safety training, incident investigation, emergency preparedness, environmental protection, and HSE reporting.

Key Responsibilities
- Implement and monitor HSE policies, procedures, and standards at the project site.
- Conduct regular workplace inspections and identify hazards and unsafe conditions.
- Carry out risk assessments and recommend appropriate control measures.
- Ensure compliance with applicable occupational health, safety, and environmental laws, regulations, and company procedures.
- Monitor the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and other safety equipment.
- Conduct safety inductions, toolbox meetings, and HSE awareness training for employees and contractors.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, near misses, and unsafe acts and prepare investigation reports.
- Maintain HSE records, reports, inspection checklists, and incident documentation.
- Monitor emergency preparedness and participate in emergency drills and response activities.
- Ensure contractors and workers comply with site safety requirements.
- Monitor environmental protection measures, including waste management, pollution prevention, and housekeeping.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly HSE reports for management.
- Support the development and implementation of emergency response and evacuation procedures.
- Identify unsafe practices and take corrective and preventive actions.
- Promote a strong safety culture and support continuous improvement of HSE performance.
- Perform other HSE-related duties assigned by the supervisor or management.
Qualifications
Applicants should have a:
- BSc in Safety Engineering
- BSc in Civil Engineering
- BSc in Environmental Health and Safety Engineering
- Other related qualifications may be considered.
Experience
- Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience in HSE, occupational safety, construction, infrastructure, or a related field.
- Experience in airport, construction, or industrial projects is an advantage.
Required Skills
- Good knowledge of occupational health and safety principles and HSE management systems.
- Ability to conduct risk assessments and safety inspections.
- Good knowledge of incident investigation and emergency response procedures.
- Strong communication and reporting skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively with employees, contractors, and management.
- Ability to work under pressure and in a project-site environment.
