Cheshire Ethiopia is an Ethiopian Resident Charity dedicated to the rehabilitation and development of persons with disabilities. Established in 1962 with support from Captain Leonard Cheshire and the grandchildren of Emperor Haile Selassie, the organization provides orthopedic and social rehabilitation services for children and young people with disabilities across Ethiopia.
Position: Junior Occupational Therapist
Qualification
- BSc Degree in Occupational Therapy

Experience: 0 years (Fresh graduates encouraged to apply)
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Assessment & Intervention
- Conduct evaluations of children’s motor development, sensory processing, and behavioral patterns
- Develop individualized therapy plans based on functional needs
- Facilitate therapeutic activities to improve motor coordination, sensory regulation, and cognitive development
Family & Caregiver Support
- Provide guidance and training to parents/caregivers for home‑based therapy continuation
- Share progress updates and strategies to reinforce developmental milestones
Collaborative Practice
- Work closely with a multidisciplinary team for integrated care
- Participate in discussions on medical referrals and adaptive equipment
Documentation & Data Management
- Maintain accurate records of assessments, progress notes, and therapy outcomes
- Update and upload CWDs’ data into the center’s database
Training & Capacity Building
- Support assistant rehabilitation workers with foundational knowledge and practical skills
Professional Conduct
- Uphold organizational policies and ethical standards
- Demonstrate empathy, patience, and professionalism
Additional Duties
- Perform any tasks assigned by the Center Manager or designated supervisor
Salary & Benefits

Basic Salary: 20,640 ETB

Transport Allowance: 500 ETB per month

Medical Benefit: 15,000 ETB per year
