Responsibilities
- Ensure timely and proper implementation of community-level nutrition activities
- Facilitate nutritional screening with Health Extension Workers (HEWs) and Women’s Development Armies (WDAs)
- Sensitize caretakers and pregnant/lactating women (PLW) on Family MUAC screening
- Support Therapeutic Feeding Programs (TFP) for both host communities and IDPs
- Conduct cooking demonstrations and mass awareness sessions
- Establish and support mother-to-mother support groups at kebele level
- Ensure job aids and awareness materials are available at health posts
- Strengthen Infant and Young Child Feeding (IYCF-E) activities at community level
Requirements
- Education: BSc degree or Diploma in Public Health, Clinical Nursing, Nutrition, or related health fields from accredited institutions
- Experience: Minimum 2 years working with NGOs in CMAM programs
- Training Certificates:
- Revised 2019 IMAM Guideline and IYCF-E Training
- Family MUAC approach and TSFP/MAM training
- Preferred Knowledge:
- Experience in managing MAM and SAM cases
- Skills in CMAM program planning, implementation, and monitoring
- Strong teamwork, communication, and adaptability
- Willingness to work under pressure and in remote areas
- Languages: Amharic, Afan Oromo, and English
