About Cooperazione Internazionale (COOPI)
Cooperazione Internazionale (COOPI) is an international Italian NGO founded in 1965. Since 1995, COOPI Ethiopia has implemented emergency, relief, and early recovery programs in water, hygiene and sanitation, food security, livelihood, nutrition, and protection. The organization currently manages 10 projects across Ethiopia, operating 8 field bases with over 100 staff members.


Open Positions

Position 1: Procurement Supervisor / Project Logistician

  • Employment Type: Contract
  • Job Location: Addis Ababa, Ethiopia

Responsibilities

  • Review procurement procedures and contracts for project offices.
  • Facilitate payments for procured goods, services, and works.
  • Coordinate procurement of goods, services, materials, and equipment.
  • Collect quotations and conduct market surveys to identify suppliers.
  • Prepare procurement documentation including POs, RFQs, and tender documents.
  • Support tender and bidding processes, supplier evaluation, and contract awards.
  • Maintain and update supplier database and track performance.
  • Ensure timely delivery of procured items and coordinate with teams.
  • Provide project office support in absence of field logisticians.
  • Align procurement needs with project plans and budgets.
  • Ensure compliance with COOPI and donor regulations.
  • Archive procurement reports and maintain transparent documentation.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Work Experience: Minimum 5 years in procurement/logistics management within NGO or donor‑funded projects.
  • Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of procurement cycles, supply‑chain principles, NGO/donor procurement requirements, proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent communication, negotiation, organizational skills; integrity, ethical conduct, flexibility, ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks.

Salary & Benefits
Gross salary 73,971 ETB. Additional benefits include medical allowance.
