About CorpsAfrica

CorpsAfrica is a U.S.-based nonprofit organization that empowers young African graduates to lead community-driven development in underserved areas while gaining valuable skills and experience. CorpsAfrica/Ethiopia is now recruiting passionate Ethiopian graduates for Group 4.


Service Description

CorpsAfrica Volunteers undergo six weeks of Pre-Service Training and then serve for ten months in rural communities selected based on need, local partnerships, and infrastructure. Volunteers:

  • Live and work with local people.
  • Identify community concerns and co-create solutions.
  • Implement projects with local partners.
  • Monitor and evaluate results.

Volunteers receive:

  • Professional training before and during service.
  • Support from CorpsAfrica staff nationally and internationally.
  • Modest living allowance.
  • Health insurance.
  • Readjustment allowance upon successful completion.
  • Certificate of completion and alumni association membership.

Who Can Apply

  • Ethiopian nationals, age 21 or older at the start of service.
  • Hold a University Degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • Ready to serve one year in rural Ethiopia (physically and emotionally prepared).
  • Passionate about community service and social impact.
  • Female youth are highly encouraged to apply.
