Context
SOS Children’s Villages Ethiopia (SOS CVE), serving vulnerable children and families since 1974, is seeking an experienced consultant to design and deliver an Integrated Mental Wellbeing Training Program. This initiative builds on the 2025 Stress Management and Resilience Training and focuses on Mental Health, Advanced Stress Management, and Work-Life Balance.
Objectives
- Strengthen staff wellbeing and resilience.
- Deliver specialized training tiers for:
- All staff
- Caregivers
- Emergency response teams
- Conduct pre-training baseline assessments and two post-training impact assessments (3-month intervals).
- Provide actionable recommendations for future wellbeing initiatives.
Scope of Work
The consultant will:
- Design and deliver one integrated training module with three tiers.
- Facilitate sessions using participatory methods (presentations, group work, simulations).
- Provide training materials, toolkits, and reference guides.
- Conduct pre- and post-training assessments.
- Submit a comprehensive final report with findings and recommendations.

Timeline

April – June 2026: Training delivery and baseline assessment.

Consultant Requirements
- Master’s degree or higher in psychology, counseling, social work, organizational development, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in stress management, work-life balance, and mental wellbeing training.
- Experience with international NGOs.
- Strong facilitation and report-writing skills.
- Fluency in English; local languages (Afan Oromo, Amharic, Somali, Tigrigna) advantageous.
