About the Job
The Internal Audit Officer supports the assessment of business procedures, risks, and internal controls. The role involves conducting audits, identifying control weaknesses, recommending improvements, and helping ensure compliance with company policies and standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in preparing the annual audit plan in consultation with relevant stakeholders.
- Develop an understanding of the company's business operations and contribute to audit strategy.
- Assist management in identifying risks, improving risk management processes, and strengthening internal controls.
- Conduct internal control reviews, compliance audits, and business process audits.
- Review business activities and identify inefficiencies, waste, and practices requiring improvement.
- Prepare audit reports and communicate findings and recommendations to supervisors and management.
- Follow up on audit recommendations and monitor the implementation of corrective actions.
- Review internal control improvement plans, track deadlines, and escalate delays when necessary.
- Provide quality assurance and internal control support for company projects.
- Support compliance with corporate policies, audit procedures, rules, and standards.
- Assist functional managers in implementing compliance systems and promote effective self-assessment practices.
- Help improve the consistency and efficiency of compliance monitoring.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- BA Degree in Accounting and Finance.
- At least two years of work experience in an FMCG environment.
- Strong financial analysis skills.
