Available Positions

1. Senior Project Officer II – Gender, Youth, and Social Inclusiveness and Safeguarding

  • Number Required: 1
  • Education: Master’s degree in Gender Studies, Sociology, Social Work, Social Anthropology, or related fields
  • Experience: At least 8 years of professional experience in gender, youth, and social inclusion programming
  • Reports to: Women and Social Affairs Director
  • Responsibilities:
    • Provide technical support to program teams to ensure gender, youth, and social inclusiveness in daily activities
    • Ensure compliance with safeguarding standards, including prevention of GBV and sexual harassment
    • Coordinate with government, NGOs, CSOs, and private sector partners to strengthen inclusiveness initiatives
    • Organize and mobilize gender and youth associations for production, marketing, and service provision
    • Conduct safeguarding risk assessments and recommend mitigation measures
    • Develop gender and youth-sensitive strategies, monitoring tools, and disaggregated data systems
    • Facilitate workshops, trainings, and dialogue sessions on gender and youth issues
    • Prepare regular reports (quarterly, semi-annual, annual) on gender and youth-related work
    • Undertake field visits and provide technical support to regional teams
  • Skills & Competencies:
    • Strong knowledge of women’s and youth empowerment, gender equality, and safeguarding standards
    • Excellent analytical, leadership, and conflict management skills
    • Strong communication and networking abilities with stakeholders
    • Proficiency in English and Amharic (oral and written)
    • Computer literacy and ability to manage complex projects

2. Driver

  • Number Required: 1
  • Education: Diploma/Certificate in Auto Mechanics
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of driving experience with a valid minimum 3rd grade driving license
  • Reports to: Logistics Manager / Dispatcher
  • Responsibilities:
    • Operate vehicles safely for transportation of passengers and goods
    • Conduct daily inspections and maintain vehicle cleanliness
    • Maintain accurate trip logs and reports
    • Follow traffic laws and safety regulations, ensuring passenger safety
    • Support logistics operations including dispatch, communication, and emergency procedures
    • Assist with vehicle maintenance and report repair needs
  • Skills & Competencies:
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to work independently under pressure and strict deadlines
    • Knowledge of English and Amharic; regional language proficiency is mandatory
    • Good computer skills and problem-solving ability
  • Place of Work: Oromia (Addis Ababa base)
