EEC’s Construction Business Unit is expanding into multiple specialized divisions such as piling, underground works, fit‑out, energy solutions, electro‑mechanical services, facility management, landscaping, and construction materials production.
Position Overview
The Quantity Surveyor (Building Construction) plays a critical role in managing project costs, contracts, and financial documentation throughout the lifecycle of building projects. This position ensures accurate quantity take‑offs, effective contract administration, and timely financial reporting to support successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed quantity take‑offs for structural, architectural, finishes, and MEP works.
- Verify subcontractor and supplier quantities against project drawings and specifications.
- Maintain updated records of material usage and labor quantities.
- Prepare interim payment applications and final accounts for clients.
- Review and certify subcontractor payment requests based on actual progress.
- Ensure compliance with contract terms, milestones, and FIDIC/local standards.
- Identify, evaluate, and document variations in scope (design changes, additional works, site conditions).
- Prepare variation orders, claims documentation, and negotiate costs/timelines.
- Draft, review, and manage contracts with clients and subcontractors.
- Maintain records of correspondence, agreements, and contractual changes.
- Support dispute resolution processes with proper documentation.
- Provide cost reports, cash flow forecasts, and financial updates to project management.
- Coordinate with site engineers, project managers, and procurement teams.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
- Experience: 3–7 years in building construction projects.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and standards.
- Skills: Familiarity with building contract frameworks (FIDIC/local), cost management, and contract administration.
