Position Overview
The Project Manager (Road) will lead, control, and coordinate project teams to ensure road construction projects are successfully planned, executed, and completed within time and budget. The role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and proven experience in asphalt road and bridge projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure each stage of the project is executed on time and within budget.
- Direct and supervise project development and delivery.
- Select, organize, and lead project teams.
- Ensure compliance with organizational standards for project management.
- Manage logistics, procurement, and subcontractor negotiations.
- Identify and mitigate project risks.
- Prepare weekly and monthly status reports for clients.
- Implement manpower management, safety policies, and quality control measures.
- Oversee procurement schedules and cash flow planning.
- Ensure insurance and guarantees are in place for project implementation.
- Provide monthly risk assessment reports and mitigation plans.
Qualifications
- MSc/BSc in Civil Engineering.
- Minimum 7 years’ experience, with at least 2 years as a Project Manager in road construction.
- Proven track record in asphalt road and bridge projects.
- Experience with international companies or projects in Ethiopia preferred.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
