About the Registrar Position

The Registrar will receive human rights complaints and process them through the organization's case management system. Main Duties and Responsibilities

The Registrar will be responsible for duties including:

  • Ruling on the admissibility of complaints and presiding over proceedings, as appropriate.
  • Serving as the principal user responsible for the online/manual interactive case management system.
  • Overseeing the compilation, recording, verification, and dissemination of data related to complaint lodging and processing.
  • Providing information, assistance, and referrals to individuals who come to lodge complaints.
  • Working with case managers to issue summons and decisions.
  • Serving as a resource to the Commission's community regarding complaint receiving, directing, and handling systems.
  • Reviewing systems, policies, guidelines, manuals, and tools and recommending changes.
  • Aggregating data relating to the complaint-handling process, response times, and thematic areas.

Qualifications and Education
