Field Coordinator – Insights Consults Plc

Insights Consults Plc is seeking a Field Coordinator to supervise enumerators and support field operations for a coffee farmer verification survey. The role involves managing field teams, monitoring data quality, resolving technical and logistical issues, and coordinating between enumerators and the central project team.

The Field Coordinator will supervise, train, and manage enumerators in an assigned region to ensure smooth field operations. The position requires experience in field coordination, survey management, or supervision, as well as strong skills in GPS and digital data collection platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise, train, and manage a team of enumerators in the assigned region.
  • Support smooth field operations for the coffee farmer verification survey.
  • Monitor the quality of collected data.
  • Resolve field-level technical and logistical issues.
  • Assist enumerators with GPS navigation and troubleshooting during field activities.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between enumerators and the central project team.

Qualifications and Requirements

Education

  • BA/BSc or Master's degree in Agriculture, Social Sciences, Statistics, or a related field.

Experience

  • 1–3 years of experience in field coordination, survey management, or supervisory roles.

Technical Skills

  • Strong proficiency in using GPS.
  • Strong proficiency with digital data collection platforms.

Language Requirements

Fluency in the local language of the specific deployment area is mandatory. The required local languages are:

  • Sidaamu Afoo
  • Gedeo'uffa
  • Afaan Oromo
  • Guragigna

Candidates must also have fluency in Amharic and English.
