About the Role
Habesha Breweries S.C. is seeking a Finance Specialist – P2P Operations to join its finance team. The role involves processing payments, managing vendor accounts, ensuring accuracy of financial records, and handling employee and supplier reimbursements. The position also focuses on improving Procure‑to‑Pay (P2P) operations while ensuring compliance with the company’s Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality (SHEQ) standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Review payment requests and verify supporting documents
- Ensure timely settlement of payments and advances in line with payment terms
- Prepare ageing reports for supplier advances and follow up on outstanding items
- Review and approve employee advances/settlements; report outstanding balances
- Perform clearing of vendor, GRIR, and condition clearing accounts for local purchases
- Prepare ageing reports for GRIR and condition clearing accounts; liaise with departments for settlement
- Establish and manage petty cash; review payments and approve replenishments
- Reconcile vendor accounts and resolve discrepancies
- Prepare staff accounts ageing reports and follow up on long‑outstanding items
- Maintain effective relationships with internal customers and vendors
- Manage and resolve customer inquiries
- Ensure accurate and complete vendor records
Qualifications
- BA Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 1–3 years of relevant work experience
- Knowledge of SAP or similar ERP systems is an advantage
- Strong analytical, multitasking, and deadline‑management skills
- Excellent communication and relationship‑management abilities
