Position: Brewery Nurse – Harar
Job Purpose
Provide professional nursing services to employees, ensuring workplace health, safety, and well‑being. Minimize work‑related injuries or illnesses and support occupational health practices across the brewery.
Key Responsibilities
- Record patient vital signs, identify irregularities, and provide appropriate treatment.
- Ensure medical equipment is clean, functional, and ready for use.
- Provide first aid and treatment for injured or ill employees; escalate cases requiring advanced care.
- Assist patients in preparing for medical tests and examinations.
- Perform or assist with minor surgical procedures depending on wound type.
- Participate in occupational health and safety practices, including first aid box management.
- Ensure emergency response preparedness, including ambulance readiness and drills.
- Maintain availability of emergency drugs and tools.
- Apply infection prevention practices and respond to outbreaks per national/international protocols.
- Maintain accurate documentation of treatments and outcomes.
- Educate employees on workplace safety, health promotion, and preventive measures.
- Train first aiders and support clinic operations.
- Act as head of clinic when delegated.
Qualifications
- Licensed Nurse with a minimum of 2 years’ work experience.
- Diploma or higher in Clinical Nursing.
- Strong skills in patient care, workplace safety, and infection prevention.
