ILRI and AGRA invite applications for several key positions supporting agricultural transformation, safeguarding, finance, and program excellence across Ethiopia.

1. Administrative Officer

Ref: ADM/AGRA/010/2026
Grade: HG13 | Salary: USD 752/month
Overview: Manages procurement, contracts, travel logistics, events, and office administration. Ensures compliance with ILRI/AGRA policies and supports program teams with coordination and reporting.
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field; 6+ years’ experience; strong knowledge of procurement systems (Oracle SCM preferred).

2. Associate Program Officer – Safeguarding

Ref: APOS/AGRA/06/2026
Grade: HG16 | Salary: USD 2,339/month
Overview: Leads implementation of AGRA’s gender and safeguarding policies. Builds capacity of teams and partners to prevent harassment, exploitation, and abuse.
Requirements: Master’s or PhD in Gender Studies, Social Science, or related field; 9+ years’ experience (Master’s) or 2+ years (PhD); expertise in gender equality and safeguarding.

3. Associate Grants Officer

Ref: AGO/AGRA/012/2026
Grade: HG14 | Salary: USD 978/month
Overview: Supports grants management, compliance, and financial reporting. Assists country teams with pre‑award and post‑award functions, expenditure validation, and donor compliance.
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance; 6+ years’ experience in grants management; strong donor compliance and financial review skills.

4. Associate Program Officer – Youth, Gender & Enterprise Development

Ref: APOED/AGRA/08/2026
Grade: HG16 | Salary: USD 2,339/month
Overview: Drives initiatives for youth employment, gender integration, and enterprise development. Builds partnerships to foster inclusive agribusiness ecosystems.
Requirements: Master’s or PhD in Agriculture, Agribusiness, Economics, or Gender Studies; 9+ years’ experience (Master’s) or 2+ years (PhD); strong knowledge of youth and women empowerment strategies.

5. Associate Program Officer – Agribusiness & Agri‑Services

Ref: APOABS/AGRA/09/2026
Grade: HG16 | Salary: USD 2,339/month
Overview: Supports youth‑ and women‑led agribusinesses, focusing on climate‑smart and nutrition‑sensitive value chains. Provides training, advisory services, and access to technologies.
Requirements: Master’s or PhD in Agronomy, Agribusiness, or Rural Development; 9+ years’ experience (Master’s) or 2+ years (PhD); proven expertise in seed systems, agribusiness, and climate‑smart agriculture.

6. Finance Officer III

Ref: FO/AGRA/013/2026
Grade: HG15 | Salary: USD 1,271/month
Overview: Provides finance and administrative support, including budget monitoring, audits, grants management, and compliance with donor regulations.
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance; CPA certification advantageous; 7+ years’ experience in finance and accounting; strong analytical and leadership skills.

Terms of Appointment

• National Staff positions: initial 2‑year contracts, renewable based on performance and funding.
