The International Livestock Research Institute (ILRI) seeks to recruit an intern in the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Unit in Addis Ababa - Ethiopia.
The International Livestock Research Institute (ILRI) works to improve people’s lives in low- and middle-income countries through livestock science that contributes to equitable and resilient livestock systems to deliver food systems transformation with climate and environmental benefits. It is the only one of 15 CGIAR research centers dedicated entirely to animal agriculture research for the developing world. Co-hosted by Kenya and Ethiopia, it has regional or country offices and projects in East, South and Southeast Asia as well as Central, East, Southern and West Africa. www.ilri.org
About the position:
The ILRI ICT department is responsible for providing technical support that enables ILRI staff to communicate, collaborate and effectively perform their duties. Support is offered across business systems, SharePoint updates, computer hardware, software, cybersecurity, and networking. The department ensures operational efficiency by maintaining an up-to-date IT infrastructure.
The intern will support ILRI’s ICT service desk by assisting with ICT service desk ticket management activities. Additionally, the intern will also get oriented to the various ICT units and functions they perform.
