Internship Overview

ILRI’s Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Unit provides technical support that enables staff to communicate, collaborate, and perform effectively. The unit supports SharePoint, business systems, hardware, software, networking, and cybersecurity, ensuring a reliable IT infrastructure.

As an ICT Intern, you will assist the service desk team with ticket management and gain hands-on experience in multiple ICT functions.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage ICT service desk tickets and assign them to technicians.
• Provide first-line ICT support to users.
• Perform routine diagnostics on ICT systems.
• Assist with setting up physical and virtual meetings.
• Clean up ICT system records.
• Test new software and technical tools.
• Install software and hardware on endpoints.
• Deliver ICT hardware and resources to staff.
• Carry out other tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements

Applicants should:

• Be enrolled in an undergraduate degree program in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Be proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Have good written and spoken English communication skills.

Internship Details

• Location: ILRI Campus, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia
• Duration: 3 months
