About Humedica e.V.

Humedica e.V. is a German-based international NGO that has been active in Ethiopia since 2010. The organization was re-registered as a foreign charity on July 8, 2019 (Registry No. 1605). The Country Office in Ethiopia is currently seeking a motivated Intern (Accountant) to support the finance department.


Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the finance team with scanning and uploading documents to the cloud platform.
  • Support filing and archiving of both physical and electronic financial records.
  • Organize vouchers and maintain financial documentation.
  • Assist in accounting entries and preparation of financial reports.
  • Support month-end closing, account reconciliations, and invoice processing.
  • Learn and apply accounting software tools and Excel for financial tasks.
  • Participate in preparation of periodic financial reports.
  • Support tax filing and assist with accounts payable/receivable processes.
  • Carry out general administrative tasks, including data entry, filing, and scheduling.

Qualifications and Requirements

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fields.
  • Must be a fresh graduate (2024/2025).

Skills:

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and spreadsheets (Excel).
  • Effective communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
