International Rescue Committee (IRC) is offering four six-month internship opportunities in Ethiopia for eligible female applicants who graduated with a first degree during the 2025/26 academic year.

Available IRC Internship Positions

1. MEAL Intern

Education: First degree in Sociology, Community Development, Law, Human Rights, Economics, Management, or a related social science field.

Key Responsibilities:

• Respond to, refer, and record hotline feedback using the standard feedback registry.
• Check the completeness of client feedback records.
• Collect, consolidate, and record feedback using the CFR Toolkit v2.
• Support preparation of raw feedback data for partners.

2. Communication Intern

Education: First degree in Communication or a related field.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support communication strategies and activities.
• Assist with donor visibility and reporting.
• Attend and document POM, PIM, and PCM activities.
• Track communication and visibility budgets.

3. Environmental Health (EH) Intern

Education: First degree in Civil Engineering, Hydraulic Engineering, Water Resource Engineering, or a related field.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support water and sanitation structure design.
• Assist with BoQs, specifications, tender documents, and evaluations.
• Support inspection of materials and equipment.
• Participate in site visits and provide technical support.
• Participate in relevant meetings and workshops.

4. Emergency Rapid Response (RRM) Intern

Education: First degree in Disaster Risk Reduction/Management, Humanitarian Studies, Social Sciences, Business Administration, International Development, Finance, Law, Political Science and International Relations, or a related field.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support dashboards, trackers, and documentation.
• Prepare meeting minutes, action points, and correspondence.
• Support partner proposals, reports, and modification requests.
• Compile and analyze data and prepare presentations and management updates.
• Support special projects and process improvement initiatives.

Common Requirements

Applicants should:

• Be a 2025/26 first-degree graduate.
• Demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills.

• Have proficiency in English and Amharic; knowledge of a local language is an advantage.
