Johanniter Ethiopia Vacancy 2026 – Finance, Administration and HR Officer

Johanniter is an international humanitarian organization that delivers emergency relief, development, and health programs across multiple countries. In Ethiopia, the organization is recruiting a qualified professional to support its Country Office by managing finance, accounting, human resources, and administrative operations while ensuring compliance with organizational policies and donor requirements.

Position: Finance, Administration and HR Officer

Employment Type: Full-Time

Duty Station: Addis Ababa, Ethiopia

Qualification

Applicants should possess:

  • Relevant qualification in Business Administration, Accounting, Human Resource Management, or Accounting (minimum CPA II).
  • Professional knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and computerized accounting systems.
  • Knowledge of the SUN Accounting System or equivalent accounting software.

Experience

  • Minimum 4 years of relevant professional experience in a similar position.
  • Experience working with NGOs and donor-funded projects.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Managing financial accounting, budgeting, reporting, and bookkeeping activities.
  • Recording financial transactions accurately within the SUN accounting system.
  • Preparing budget variance analysis reports and supporting financial reviews.
  • Processing payment vouchers and ensuring complete supporting documentation.
  • Managing cash flow, reconciliations, treasury activities, and statutory payments.
  • Supporting internal and external audits and financial reporting.
  • Coordinating recruitment, personnel records, payroll administration, and HR compliance.
  • Monitoring staff contracts, leave balances, and performance documentation.
  • Managing office administration, leases, utilities, filing systems, and administrative contracts.
  • Supporting partner capacity building in finance, administration, and HR.
  • Promoting safeguarding, transparency, anti-fraud measures, and organizational compliance.
