Junior Foreign Procurement and Logistics Officer Vacancy at Lesaffre

Working Better to Nourish the Environment.
Reporting directly to the Supply Chain and Procurement Manager, your main missions will be:
- Manage end-to-end import operations, including purchase orders, shipping, customs clearance, and delivery to the factory.
- Identify, assess, and onboard qualified local & international suppliers.
- Prepare, review, and maintain import documentation (invoice, packing list, Bill of lading/airway bill, COO, LC documents, etc.).
- Coordinate with suppliers, freight forwarders, shipping lines, clearing agents, and customs authorities.Monitor supplier performance and resolve procurement-related issues.
- Ensure compliance with local and international import laws, company procurement policies, customs regulations, and trade policies.
- Monitor shipment status and resolve delays, discrepancies, or customs issues.
- Handle LC opening, amendments, and ongoing liaison with banks.
- Compute customs duties, taxes, and overall landed costs accuracy.
- Ensure proper record keeping of import documentation for audits compliance & managerial reporting.
- Evaluate import & logistics workflows to improve efficiency & control costs.
You will work closely with finance, warehouse and production teams to ensure uninterrupted manufacturing operations.
Holder of a Bachelor’s degree in Logistics & Supply Chain Management, International Trade, or a relevant discipline, you have a demonstrated experience in managing import operations, preferably in manufacturing industries
Competences:
- Comprehensive knowledge of customs clearances, HS Codes, Incoterms, and import laws.Skills &
- Experienced in ESW system, MS Office , and logistics tools
- Excellent communication & negotiation skills.
- Proven skills in organizing tasks, coordinating activities & solving complex problems.
- Skilled at managing workload under pressure while meeting project deadlines.
