Job Summary

The Junior Software Developer will support the development, enhancement, maintenance, and technical support of IATS healthcare software products.

Working under the guidance of the Senior Software Developer, the successful candidate will contribute to developing new features, improving existing applications, troubleshooting software issues, and providing timely technical support to clients.

Qualifications and Requirements

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.

Work Experience

  • 0–2 years of relevant software development experience.
  • Exposure to healthcare IT systems is an added advantage.

Technical Skills

Candidates should demonstrate the following technical knowledge and skills:

  • Working knowledge of at least one programming language, such as Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Java, or C#.
  • Understanding of web development fundamentals, including HTML, CSS, REST APIs, and JSON.
  • Basic knowledge of SQL and relational databases, such as PostgreSQL or MySQL.
  • Familiarity with Git for version control, including branching and pull requests.
  • Basic debugging, testing, and code-reading skills.
  • Familiarity with the Linux command line and basic server operations.

Additional Advantageous Skills

The following skills and experience will be considered an advantage:

  • Exposure to ERP platforms.
  • Familiarity with healthcare integration standards and protocols, including HL7, FHIR, or ASTM.
  • Exposure to medical device integration or serial communication.
  • Familiarity with Docker and containerization.
