Job Purpose
The Store Intern – Dispatch will support day-to-day dispatch operations, including preparing, checking, documenting, loading, and dispatching finished goods on schedule while maintaining accurate records and following company procedures.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
- Support the daily dispatch of finished goods according to approved delivery and dispatch schedules.
- Assist with picking, checking, preparation, loading, shipment scanning, and dispatching of finished goods.
- Verify product descriptions, quantities, batch details, and other relevant information before dispatch.
- Assist in coordinating dispatch vehicles and drivers to facilitate timely loading and delivery.
- Follow up on vehicle availability and support efficient vehicle movement within loading and dispatch areas.
- Prepare and maintain delivery notes, gate passes, dispatch records, and other relevant documents.
- Support the recording and updating of dispatch transactions in SAP under the supervision of the Senior Executive – Stores.
- Maintain accurate daily records of dispatched products.
- Coordinate with Stores, Sales, Supply Chain, Finance, Security, and other relevant departments to facilitate smooth dispatch operations.
- Check that quantities loaded onto vehicles match approved dispatch documents.
- Report shortages, excess quantities, damaged products, loading issues, or documentation discrepancies.
- Support proper arrangement and housekeeping of finished goods and dispatch areas.
- Follow company health, safety, security, and Stores procedures during loading and dispatch activities.
- Support the Senior Executive – Stores in preparing daily and periodic dispatch reports.
- Perform other Stores- and dispatch-related activities assigned by the Senior Executive – Stores.
Educational Requirements
- BA Degree in Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Supply Chain Management, Business Management, Business Administration, or another related business field.
- Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
Required Skills and Competencies
- Basic knowledge of logistics, Stores, and dispatch operations.
- Basic knowledge of SAP/ERP is an advantage.
- Good computer skills, particularly Microsoft Excel.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Good numerical and documentation skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work effectively in a team.
- Willingness to learn and develop in Stores and Supply Chain operations.
