About the Job

HEINEKEN Ethiopia is hiring a Key Account Sales Executive in Addis Ababa to strengthen its premium beer portfolio. This Mid Level Sales Executive role focuses on FMCG sales in Ethiopia, building strong relationships with key accounts, increasing market penetration, and enhancing product visibility. The position offers a hybrid work arrangement and requires proven experience in key account handling within the beer industry or FMCG sector.


Key Responsibilities

Account Management & Development

  • Identify and prioritize key accounts with the Premium Accounts Manager.
  • Build and maintain strong, long‑term customer relationships.
  • Develop Joint Business Plans with customers to align objectives and drive growth.
  • Propose innovative ideas to excite consumers and enhance satisfaction.

Outlet Execution

  • Manage and optimize master data for outlet performance.
  • Implement PICOS strategies and maintain SKUs with FIFO stock management.
  • Ensure timely delivery and proper representation of products.
  • Collaborate with distributors to improve delivery efficiency.
  • Follow structured visit plans and resolve outlet issues.

Sales & Negotiation

  • Lead negotiations for product placement and visibility.
  • Establish joint promotional activities with customers.
  • Negotiate credit agreements with distributors and key customers.
  • Identify performance gaps and propose long‑term solutions.
  • Monitor competitor activities and propose counterstrategies.

Promotions & Activations

  • Plan and execute promotional activities at target outlets.
  • Deploy POS materials and activate customer drivers.
  • Collaborate with trade marketing teams for seamless execution.

Market Insights & Reporting

  • Gather and report competitor and market insights.
  • Provide timely reports on inventory, sales, and outlet execution.
  • Participate in sales meetings and share performance updates.

Customer Service

  • Address and resolve customer issues promptly.
  • Maintain close relationships with distributors for timely deliveries.

Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure proper maintenance and safety of company property.
  • Adhere to compliance and safety protocols.

Job Requirements

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree (BSc or BA) in any field

Experience & Skills

  • Minimum 4 years of proven sales experience in FMCG companies
  • Experience in key account sales handling is advantageous
  • Strong sales and negotiation skills
