Job Summary
The Logistics & Procurement Intern will support logistics and supply chain activities at the Addis Ababa office, including procurement, asset management, vendor tracking, and office supply planning. The role provides exposure to humanitarian operations and compliance with donor policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Support supply chain activities: planning, sourcing, transport, shipping, warehousing, asset management
- Assist procurement processes in line with MTI and donor policies
- Track vendor contracts and support timely payments
- Monitor inventory and verify asset condition and usage
- Plan office management needs including purchasing supplies
- Support safety and security tasks as delegated
- Develop and maintain supplier databases
- Promote safeguarding practices and uphold MTI’s Code of Conduct
- Perform other duties as assigned
Education & Requirements
- Minimum Qualification: BA degree in Logistics & Procurement, Supply Chain Management, or related social science fields
- Eligibility:
- Only female graduates of 2017 or 2018 E.C.
- GPA of 3.7 and above
- Zero years of work experience required
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Strong interpersonal communication skills
- Basic knowledge of HR management
- Organizational skills and attention to detail
- Good judgment regarding confidentiality and sensitive materials
- Teamwork and collaboration skills
- Excellent command of spoken & written Amharic and English
- Computer literacy (Word, Excel, databases)
- Ability to maintain accurate records and act with integrity
Work Conditions
- Office‑based in Addis Ababa
- Workdays: Monday–Saturday (40–48 hours/week)
- Occasional weekends and public holidays
