Job Summary

The main purpose of the job is to prepare communications and visibility content under the supervision of the Grants and Program Coordinator. The Communications Intern will collect photos, videos, success stories, and consent forms from field offices through in-person and remote support to provide as part of donor reports and MTI social media materials.


Key Responsibilities

  • Support the program team in collecting, organizing, filing, or documenting regular program data and reports.
  • Under the guidance of the supervisor, prepare and compile PowerPoint and other presentations for internal and external use.
  • Under the guidance of the supervisor, prepare, review, and facilitate MOUs and LOUs.
  • Support and participate in reviewing program-based success stories, taking pictures, and documenting lessons learned.
  • Facilitate letters, TORs, training agreement approval, and settlement of advances from field offices and country offices as needed.
  • Organize and facilitate meetings, workshops, and training.
  • Collect high-quality photographs and captions from field programs.
  • Gather and document human-interest stories from program implementation areas.
  • Develop and post content on Workplace and internal communication platforms.
  • Assist in organizing weekly learning-hour sessions and other internal events.
  • Contribute to website and social media content updates as assigned.
  • Compile success stories, capacity statements, and visibility materials.
  • Support photo and video documentation during events and field visits.
  • Organize communication materials for internal review and filing.
  • Ensure all designed materials follow MTI's global branding standards, including use of logo, color palette, typography, and formatting templates.

Qualifications

Education:

  • BA Degree in Public Relations and Communication, Media Studies, Journalism and Communication.
  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.6 and above.

Experience:

  • Position open to fresh graduates without prior experience (0–1 years).

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Good understanding of photography and camera handling is desirable.
  • Strong communication, writing, and storytelling skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively, meet deadlines, and manage multiple tasks.
  • Self-motivated with a desire to serve others.
  • Respectful towards other cultures.
  • Able to establish relationships easily.
  • Team player.
  • Flexible under changing conditions.

Physical Condition:

  • This position requires travel to health facilities located in remote areas with very basic living conditions.
