Meklit Microfinance Institution S.C is a transformed commercial microfinance institution, originally established under proclamation no. 40/96 and later revised under proclamation 626/2009 by the National Bank of Ethiopia. The institution provides both financial and non-financial services to medium and small enterprises, as well as low-income communities—particularly women—in both urban and rural areas of Ethiopia.
