Available Job Positions
1. MERL Consultant
- Employment Type: Contract
- Duty Station: Addis Ababa, Ethiopia
- Project Duration: 4–5 months
- Estimated Fees: $1000–$1300 per month (tied to deliverables)
- Anticipated Start Date: February 2026
Key Responsibilities / Job Duties
- Manage routine monitoring systems and performance reviews using DHIS2 and Looker Studio
- Support field-based data collection, including tool troubleshooting and quality assurance
- Enter, clean, validate, and maintain datasets in ODK/KoboToolbox databases
- Produce analytical reports and dashboards to inform program learning and adaptation
- Ensure ethical standards and data compliance, including IRB procedures and confidentiality
- Collaborate with program, digital health, and global MERL teams to strengthen data systems
- Participate in team-based review meetings and incorporate feedback into data management processes
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Monitoring & Evaluation, Statistics, Epidemiology, Health Informatics, Data Science, or related field (Master’s preferred)
- Minimum 3 years’ professional experience in MERL activities, preferably in community health or health system strengthening programs
- Hands-on experience with digital health data systems: ODK/KoboToolbox, DHIS2, and Looker Studio (or similar visualization tools)
- Experience supporting field data collection, data quality assurance, and coordination with field teams
- Proven skills in baseline or routine data analysis and reporting
- Strong understanding of ethical data management and research compliance
- Proficiency in Amharic is strongly preferred
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with impact evaluations, mixed-methods research, or learning agendas in health programs
- Familiarity with AI-enabled or emerging digital health tools for monitoring and evaluation
