Open Position
Position 1: Project Manager – BRAVE Humanitarian Program
- Employment Type: Full‑time
- Job Location: Lalibela, Ethiopia
- Contract Duration: Until December 31, 2026
- Reports to: Emergency Program Implementation Manager
- Grade: D2
Responsibilities
- Facilitate integrated programming and cross‑learning among project partners
- Ensure downward accountability and effective project management
- Monitor integration aspects and produce consolidated narrative reports
- Represent Plan International Ethiopia at woreda, zonal, and regional coordination forums
- Coordinate with consortium partners, government institutions, community structures, and UN agencies
- Oversee project budget and ensure synergy with other emergency response projects
- Produce quality reporting and collaborate with thematic sector leads and MEAL teams
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Education: MA/MSc in Food Security, Development Studies, Humanitarian Aid, Sociology, Social Work, Health, Nutrition, WASH, Child Protection, DRM, Economics, Agricultural Economics, Project Management, or related social science fields
- Work Experience:
- Minimum of 7 years in management and coordination of humanitarian/development programs with international NGOs in Ethiopia
- Minimum of 5 years in Integrated WASH, Food Security, Livelihoods, and Economic Resilience programs in Amhara Region
- Senior‑level experience in humanitarian, development, or nexus projects (Coordinator/Manager)
- Experience working with IDPs and host communities
- Experience in projects with social cohesion or peaceful coexistence components
- Technical Skills: Budget management, monitoring and evaluation, advocacy, representation, computer proficiency (Excel, Word, databases)
- Soft Skills: Strategic thinking, leadership, facilitation, mentoring, communication, workload management
Preferred / Additional Qualifications
- Experience in advocacy and representation
- Strong presentation and facilitation skills
- Proven ability to manage complex workloads
