About the Role – Procurement Assistant
The Procurement Assistant will be responsible for supporting the implementation of Procurement Guidelines and Procedures in the Shire Sub-Office. The role involves managing procurement processes to ensure cost efficiency, compliance, and timely delivery of goods and services.
Key Responsibilities:

Process requisitions into purchases and tenders.

Source suppliers, negotiate contracts, and manage purchase orders.

Ensure compliance with procurement regulations and guidelines.

Support both emergency and development program procurement.

Contribute to safeguarding children and promoting gender equality in all activities.
Qualifications and Experience
Essential:
-
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics Management, Purchasing/Supply Chain Management, or related field.

Minimum 3 years relevant work experience, preferably in an INGO environment.

Experience in procurement for both emergency and development programs.
-
Strong skills in procurement, negotiation, and logistics.

Fluency in English (spoken and written).
Desirable:
-
Knowledge of local languages.

Substantial experience in procurement within the NGO sector.
